I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to do the equivelent of an audit library or reconcile volumes type command for a storage pool made up of file devices that are not remote devices or in a library.
Here is the problem I am trying to solve. We had a TSM DB corruption problem causing a server crash on a Saturday night. The DB was restored from the last good backup from the previous Thursday morning. So now the TSM DB is not in sync with the actual file volumes that exist on disk for some unknown number of volumes. In the time between the backup and the crash, expiration ran, reclaim ran, and the volume reuse delay is 2 days so some volumes were purged before the problem was noticed.
Trial and error through attempting to run reclamation identifies volumes that are no longer available, and I can mark them unavailable, but that's a slow process.
