installing storage agent 5.5.0.3 for testing to upgrade,...on a test box. I have the BA client installed. installed drivers, and installed storage agent, followed gui install wizard that popped up.
Defined storage agent as a server on TSM server as TESTBOXSTA...with this command:
Define server testboxsta serverpassword=br549 hladdress=172.22.123.66 lladdress=8000
when storage agent install gui came up and had to fill in window for storage agent name: testboxsta storage agent pw: br549 and the ipadress of storage agent
then communication window came up: TSM server name ITS_bkup_server, it's ip address, server password: i used the same br549 (which is the the tsm Admin password).
updated BA client dsm.opt to enable for lanfree.
started storage agent and on the tsm server i see it connecting but then it says invalid password. Unfortunately predecessor never documented this well so i'm at a loss and thinking
i'm just not understanding just what passwords it wants.
The TSM server has basically 2 passwords. the Windows administrator which has an @ symbol, so it can't be that. and then TSM admin, which is br549.
storage agent docs said when doing this make them the same.
