Dear TSM Colleagues,
I know that the title of this thread is not so descriptive, but here is the case:
I have a customer which is backing up really huge files (400GB each, sometimes a bit more) and the customer needs to backup around 4 files like that each backup session. The problem is that 1st those files are tar archives, 2nd the backup is failing as the network speed is not so great.
Usually how it happens is, that node is pinning down the log and than it crashes the server, because it never finishes if a leave it intact it will run 3 days and every 3rd backup is successfully, resulting in 2TB backed up for that sessions.
Do you have any trips that you can share with me so i can solve this somehow, we tried the network part, but we are stuck with 1GB NIC from TSM side, so whatever actions are possible it wont be a hardware upgrade.
If you have any suggestions i will be really glad to hear them.
Thank you all!
