Hey
I have two TSM severs on different sites with 2GB link between and the plan is to backup source on to target.
I have setup the servers as in here

But I am wondering about couple of things.
1) The primary pool on the source server is on tapes. I have set up the target server to have 1TB disk pool which will then migrate to tapes. In order to do this the storagepools on the target server have to be primary pools. if I set up a copypool on the target server it'd have to be tapes, so I'd have to copy data from tape to tape over network which doesn't sound like a very good idea to me. Is it?
2) I have /TB licensing so will I have to pay for primary pools though they act as copypools?
3) IBM says that "The source server is a client of the target server, and the data for the source server is managed only by the source server. In other words, the source server controls the expiration and deletion of the files that comprise the virtual volumes on the target server.". What if the data migrates from the virtual volumes on the target server? Who will look after it then?
I wondering if my approach is fundamentally flawed and I should use disk pool on source or target server. Problem is that I can't.
