6.3 Disk Provisioning

We are migrating our AIX 5.5 TSM server with 7 instances to a new 6.3 AIX server with with 64g of memory and 8-300g drives running 5 instances of TSM. We plan on doing hardware mirroring of 1 drive and configuring the remaining 6 drives in a Raid 5 hardware array. That should give us about 1.4 tb usable for our databases which won't be quite enough but we are provisioning storage on the SAN for what's left. I don't know enough about how AIX manages disk to be able to visualize how the databases for 3 instances will be spread out over 1 6-disk Raid 5 array. Won't AIX see the array as 1 physical disk and as such can we put more than one database on it? Would we configure logical volumes over the one physical volume for each DB2 database directory? We are talking about getting a consultant for help but I'd like to get a better idea of how it fits together before then. Thanks.
