Our company is going to deploy offsite backup for tsm and I don't quite understand how offsite tape reclamation happens . As I know ,for primary tape pool reclamation ,if we use a staging pool on disk ,we can reclaim tapes with only 1 drive. For the copy pool reclamation ,is it the same thing ,or we need at least 2 drives ?
Coz we are using lto5 drive and tapes now for primary pool and will use lto6 drive and tape for copy pool,and lto5 drive can't work with lto6 tapes .So I need to understand we need to buy at least 1 or 2 lto6 tape drive to do the offsite reclamation.
