We have a config manager controlled environment with multiple TSM instances that report to a single library manager. TSM is running 6.2 on AIX 7.1. For some reason, we have had some tapes that were used on multiple instances. I have been trying to restore the data off of these tapes. The instance which has used the tape most recently has no issues with reading and writing data on the tapes. Is there any way to salvage any of the data from the instance which has used the tape first? I know if it has a copypool, we can do a restore. But i am talking about a situation where there are no copypool tapes involved.
