New Tape Drive

Okay, so here's the situation. We had an StorageTek L40 that died and we can no longer read our tapes with it. We don't have a lot left on it, but we do have a few tape with primary data that I need to get onto my Disk storage. The problem is that no matter what I try, it doesn't the give it an LTO dev type, LTO2CLASS dev class or ULTRIUM2 read format.

It's been a while and I can't remember the commands I need to add this 'new' drive to the system in such a way that can simply use it as part of my existing TAPEPOOL and move the data off these tapes.
