Hi Everyone,
Possibly a bit of a noob question, but I can't (yet) find the answer.
It goes like this.
Basically, I have a reclamation process running.
It is working, and I can see the moved bytes increasing. No drama's there, so far so good.
What I can't trace is the input.
Q PR shows the following (output volume name was changed to protect the innocent!)
Process Process Description Status
Number
------- -------------------- -------------------------------------------------
10 Space Reclamation Offsite Volume(s) (storage pool DAILY_OFFSITE),
Moved Files: 65856, Moved Bytes:
177,778,268,371, Unreadable Files: 3, Unreadable
Bytes: 0. Current Physical File (bytes): None
Current output volume: BLAH
Now then. What is also interesting, is the Storage Pool "Daily Offsite" is tape-only.
There is no predecessor to "DAILY_OFFSITE" as far as Q STG shows, and likewise, there is no successor.
Additionally, when I do a Q MO, there is only one tape in use -
ANR8330I LTO volume BLAh mounted R/W in drive DRIVE02 (/dev/rmt/3mt), status: IN USE.
ANR8334I 1 matches found.
So, given that "DAILY_OFFSITE" is not part of any "Next Storage Pool", and is not a predecessor of any other Storage Pool, where and what exactly is being reclaimed?
I can only assume this is from one of the disk-based Storage Pools, but I would like to know exactly what.
As usual, help appreciated.
Thanks
