How to mesure the performance of TSM?

Hi all,

Is there a (good) way to calculate the performance of a TSM 6.x server? Or a rules of thumb? We want have a good indication how well our TSM environment is running and want to know when we will reach the limits.

For example:

• We want to calculate what the impact will be if we let the database grow. Can we multiply the time, that DB intensive processes take, by 2 if the database size dubbles?

In 2007 there was a good presentation of Dave Canan about disk tuning for TSM. Are there more of this kind of presentations about performance tuning for TSM? (beside the performance tuning guide)

I/O load
Cpu load
Networkload
Memory usage
The things outside TSM
