Mangement classes

Hello everyone,
I've run into a problem on some of the larger servers where I have to use in my dsm.opt the DIRMC option to manage folders

I’m using it as such

DIRMC MC_DIRMC

At first, I setup new management group MC_DIR and then a copy group with the same retention settings are for MC_DFLT

This did not resolve the problem, and so decided to setup a new MGMT, and Copy group MC_DIRMC that actually has its own storage pool.

I do see the servers rebinding, and hope that this will resolve my problem of restores taking forever, with many tape mounts. Usually a handful of times, but hundreds of times!

Can I go ahead and delete MC_DIR now? Would all files bound to this copy/management domain rebind automatically?

How are you using DIRMC option,

Thank you,

Ody
