I've got an issue on an old TSM 5.5 Server, where volumes showing in TSM do not exist at the file level on the Windows OS itself (the storage pools are using a file device class). I cannot think of any technical/conceptual reason as to why this has occurred other than someone manually deleting the files, which has not happened.
I can't find any bugs for TSM 5.5 that relate this issue, and given that 5.5 is out of support, I am unable to log a support call to IBM requesting assistance.
Has anyone else seen this issue before?
The actlog is full of ANR1401W messages, so restoring of files, space reclamation, migration, move data are all failing.
Any ideas?
